Public Volunteer Programme

The public volunteer programme is an initiative of the Ministry of Health aimed at increasing the public’s involvement in the health sector of Trinidad and Tobago, and is in line with the overall message of increasing the spirit of volunteerism in our twin island republic.

It is hoped that civil minded individuals would give freely of their time and energy to help to make the experience of their fellow citizens in our country’s medical facilities a less stressful one. Volunteers would also have the privilege of working in any one of the country’s state of the art public medical facilities to assist in various functions and capacities.

This programme will bridge the gap that is perceived between those that receive medical treatment and those who provide it and incorporate the general public into a more active role in the delivery and upkeep of public health in Trinidad and Tobago.
