About Tobacco Control Unit

The Tobacco Control Unit (TCU) of the Ministry of Health is responsible for implementing and enforcing the Tobacco Control Act, Chap. 30:04. The Unit leads national efforts in tobacco education, compliance, monitoring and support for smoking cessation. We work to reduce tobacco-related harm, promote healthier environments, and protect the public from the dangers of tobacco use.
