Services You Can Request
IVCD provides several public-facing services that support mosquito control, household safety, and community protection across Trinidad and Tobago.
Request Mosquito Spraying
Ask the IVCD to spray for mosquitoes in your area. You can request spraying if you’re seeing a lot of mosquitoes around your home, community, school or institution.
Request Community Outreach & Education
Invite the IVCD to visit your community, school, workplace or event to teach people how to prevent mosquito breeding and reduce the risk of mosquito-borne diseases.
Other Services
These activities support national vector control and disease prevention. They are operational services and not services the public requests.
Research & Collaboration
The IVCD work closely with other agencies such as the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government, Regional Health Authorities (RHAs), and international partners like CARPHA and PAHO to ensure a coordinated national response to vector-borne disease threats.
Laboratory and Diagnostics
Our lab performs malaria microscopy , entomological and parasitological activities, and participates in research with external partners like CARPHA and UWI.
