How to Access

Six steps to get your prosthetic limb.

A simple, structured journey for Trinidad & Tobago nationals by referral, on a first come first served basis.

Obtain a referral

From a private medical practitioner or public health facility. The referral should include the patient's name and contact information, medical history and cause of amputation, level of amputation and relevant clinical notes.

Send the referral

Email the referral letter to npc@health.gov.tt. You may also drop off the referral in person at the National Prosthetics Centre.

Registration & appointment

The patient is registered and given an appointment date on a first come first served basis.

On-site evaluation

A prosthetic fitting evaluation is performed at the Centre by the specialist team.

Fabrication

Customised prosthetic limb(s) are fabricated on-site, using Jaipur Foot materials and technology.

06

Fitting & adjustment

Final fitting and adjustment of the limb. The full journey takes approximately one week from first appointment.
