Port of Spain, May 7, 2025: The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) Country Representative for Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Gabriel Vivas-Francesconi, paid a courtesy visit to the newly installed Minister of Health, Dr. The Honourable Lackram Bodoe, and Minister in the Ministry of Health, Dr. The Honourable Rishad Seecheran.
The meeting, held at the Ministry of Health’s Headquarters, served as an introductory engagement and an opportunity to reaffirm the longstanding partnership between PAHO and the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
Dr. Vivas-Francesconi congratulated Minister Bodoe and Minister Seecheran on their new appointments and shared PAHO’s key strategic priorities and plan for continued commitment to supporting the health goals of the nation.
Minister Bodoe also took the opportunity to reiterate the government’s appreciation for PAHO’s continued technical support and advocacy in enhancing healthcare services and expressed his anticipation of a close working relationship with Dr. Vivas-Francesconi and the PAHO team.
