What is Blood Pressure (Hypertension)?

Blood Pressure is simply the pressure put on the walls of the blood vessels as the heart pumps blood through them. In some people, blood pressure may go up higher than the normal range (120/80) and stay that way.

When a person’s blood pressure remains higher than the normal level, that person has High Blood Pressure or Hypertension.
